Lafayette. I could see why you may ask as GRC had only won like 3 games in the last 3 years. This year we have won 4 so far. New Coach at GRC ...again this year.

Old coach got the shaft, new coach is reaping the benefits of what the old coach was doing. Is what it is I guess. I still say GRC has a chance.

Not reaping what old coach was doing but a much easier out of district schedule is why the more wins so far IMO. Also was told we had over 90 kids to go out for football this year which is amazing. When Coach Dr Lucas got to Winchester he immediately got out into the community. Which really helped in getting kids to come out. I believe he came from either Butler or Manual.

I don't know about Shawn Alexander but if I shed any tears last night there would have been steam coming off my face. As it was, there was steam coming out of my ears. And let me add, it's a good thing I was seated.

 

No offense intended to GRC, but Boone made them look like world-beaters last night. We are not improving. It looked like we were playing in our first scrimmage of the year.

 

Granted, our top lineman was out and we shuffled some guys around. A RB cut his foot before the game and couldn't play. Our QB got hurt and came out of the game early. But even before that happened we could not execute.

 

Kudos to GRC fans for the strong support they showed their team. Big, enthusiastic crowd for homecoming. Large contingent of young men on the sidelines and in football uniforms, and a good number of coaches.
