Region 1 Rankings Week #7 (Post Your Polls Here)

Featured Replies

Number one: we were debating one ranking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marshall lost by 29 to a team Henderson beat by 37 points. Since Henderson lost to Christian a team that lost by one to WC in the region final, I'm not really sure what you are trying to say. Henderson was very much in the ball park-6 points comparing scores from the region title. Henderson would not have finished fourth-I even said it was a bad matchup before the game, and your polls had them just one, count them, one rank off from what I had.

Number two: Look at this poll---you, westsider, Cynical, Chicks dig Scars. I wonder how many people voted verses how many people are from your neck of the woods. I stand by my statement.

Number three: I even said, I will post it again, that Henderson did not match up well with Christian. So when I ask you why you thought the way you did, you took it as I completely disagreed with you. Then why did I say:

"Christian has beat Hoptown and came close to WC and HC. They lost to Graves and Marshall(big). So given what Wood has said, I guess the key to the game is beating their o-line and containing Tandy. What did you think about WC's D-line? Usually, Marshall and Graves are stronger upfront, and Henderson is smaller this year, so we may not matchup with them in the way Graves and Marshall did."

Bottom line is Christian was 2nd! in the region by one point, and Henderson lost to them by 5 points. I even had WC ahead off Henderson most of the season.

We could go round and round with this ...

Marshall also hammered Christian 52-26 ... it was 52-13 before Marshall put the second-teamers in. And Christian won at Henderson.

What statement? And where does it matter where we live? It isn't like this poll isn't open to anyone.

Heck, I can't even remember what I was arguing about. I think the fun I was having with Dfire last year is coming back to bite me. He is trying to say because Henderson lost to Christian that Henderson was worse or would finsh behind Marshall?, Graves?, WC, and Christian. I think that point can be debated. It is not like I had Henderson above WC. I had them second, but Dfire wants to take that 5 point lose to Christian as complete proof that they would have finish 4th or 5th in your district.

I'll admit the "not low enough" was just a dig at you. No, I don't believe that if Henderson played the full schedule that they would have been 4th or 5th in that district. I do think they'd have been no higher than third, and I feel the same this year.

I'm allowed a little fun with you too, aren't I? Could make great fodder if Henderson ended up winning the region, as your fun last year is for me.

Well, some of this is from KP and some of it is on here. I was just providing information. If the SEC fans all voted on a national poll, would that not change the rankings? I just assumed that since people got so stirred about one guy just throwing teams around in his poll that there was an interest in making them correct. Maybe I am wrong.

In the interest of group harmony, I will remove myself from Dfire's poll threads.

Everyone always takes this so seriously. These polls are for discussion. People will always disagree in some way because they have differing opinions. If they didn't, this poll would read the same from all voters and the posts would be "Oh, I agree!" I'd ask you to keep coming back to these threads, and I'd also encourage you to vote every week. The more viewpoints, the better!

Have you read these threads each week? Votes are constantly being challenged and questioned and discussed. It's a big part of what makes this weekly thread so interesting.

No need to. We've never been the most harmonious group. ;)

Don't leave just because your feelings are hurt because someone disagrees with you.
