Solid group of kids with strong Sr leadership and a good blend of players. Really looking forward to them pulling together as they start to play some stronger teams. Fun team to watch!

They have mercied 4 out of 8 games. Their schedule is a joke. I wish their Coach tested their schedule with their potential instead making it a cake walk. They only have 2-3 competitive games their entire season.

I could see them winning the region but they will never be taken as a serious contender until their coaches challenge them with a harder schedule. They have so much talent and potential too.

Small school tough get scheduled - they have good stretch games coming up! Coaches have worked hard and they will do well up against any competition!

The coming weeks might provide a better indication of how strong they actually are. It looks like the teams they have played have about 15 wins between them and several of them are actually against each other.

 

Not the toughest of schedule so far, the Maher Rankings lists their schedule as one of the weakest in the state.

Might be tough to get scheduled against the top 20 in the state, but the middle of the pack teams should be available if approached.... As of tonight , make that 5 out if 8 games mercied.... you can't have any competition all year and expect the boys to show up in tough games during the post season .

Do that against st henry, campbell, or brossart and I'll shut up lol

They got a lot of those games coming up- brossart , Campbell, NCC, st Henry so will get chance to see.

They had a nice team last year as well finishing 12-4-4. They were 2-3 in district play. Losing in the all A and district play to Brossart after beating Brossart in a shoot out earlier in the year. They also lost to Campbell 3-6 and beat Scott 9-0.

Good luck to the team. I always have a lot of respect for their programs at the school. Not many kids to choose from, always give it their best and just tend to be good sports, Win or Lose.

Very good team - with soccer as a primary sport the AD should find a way to play the strongest teams in NKy every year. It could be that those teams are pushing back. Regardless, a squad this talented should be rewarded with playing the best competition year in/year out.

I don't know that CC didn't try to schedule harder but I did say it was possible teams were pushing back on scheduling CC...

I guess we can end this talk with a 3-3 tie against a 1-5-1 Holy Cross.

Hc keeper made some crazy saves - one best goalies I have seen high school game. Calvary will be fine just off night - expect they will bounce back with some big upcoming games.

Giving up 3 to HC?

Upcoming games, Vs Dixie which just gave St Henry everything they wanted then Campbell Co, Brossart and St Henry, not murders row by any stretch but cleary CC toughest stretch in their otherwise very easy schedule will give a clearer indication if they can contend for the 10th region title.

Time for Calvary to raise their game. Given their schedule/results to date it is possible they have become a bit complacent. Could be the HC game is the wake-up call they need to be successful through the upcoming stretch.

 

It will all play out. NKy soccer seems to be one big toss-up this year...

HC goalie is crazy good. Too bad he doesn't play for one of the top teams he would be a candidate for state honors.
