Not until the final drive.

Was Ashland without Coburn tonight?

He played, had a slight limp at times and seemed a bit limited in my opinion.

Play calling at the end of the game was a little suspect, IMO. 4 qb draws between the guards? Even with a bum ankle, Coburn could have beaten one man, fallen forward and got 3 yards. Toss it out to him and let him see what he can do. If nothing else let Ratliff roll out for an RPO, that way, at least he can try and sprint to the corner of the end zone. Again, JMHO.

Completely agree, the goal line play calling was terrible IMO. With no timeouts left it would have been nice to see a passing play tossed in there somehwere, if nothing else to stop the clock and regroup.

After the game coach Love was asked about the play calling at the end of the game and said that, "Braxton is the best player on the field, and we just needed to make our blocks and get him a hole." I understand the statement, but first, I don't think a coach should make a statement like that on the air. Number 1, it shows that you seem to favor one player over the other. Number 2, you're basically calling out your offensive line publicly. I will say that I called the long pass play to Caines when they were at our own 25 yard line with 1:57 left in the game before it even happened. Then, the guy I was sitting with called the last for plays of the game when we were first and goal on GW's 6 yard line before they happened. I mentioned to one person behind me (my earlier statement regarding Coburn) he said, "He doesn't have the right last name." Take that for what's it worth. I'm just frustrated with Ashland football right now. To me, it seams like a one man show, and believe me when I say that I'm not alone in these thoughts.

Agreed, it was discussed with the group I was with as well and everyone was in the same agreement. Too much Ratliff. He's a great player, but you're not going to beat the best teams on your schedule by showcasing a single player. I mean that in no disrespect to Ratliff at all, he's a great athlete and he's not the one calling the plays. He can only do so much and it's not like there isn't plenty of other talent on the team, it's just not being used as much as it should be. Just my opinion, but it seems like many other Tomcat fans share the same opinion.

I'm wondering if this should be a thread of it's own.

Not sure what's up with the word filter on that one, I said "he's a great athlete."

I think we've already covered it.

Coach Love is a great guy and really really good coach but I for one question him year after year as a Head Coach. Defensively Ashland is played some pretty darn good football. Offensively to predictable among the other things already discussed.
