Bac2369 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Paintsville has one goal and thats finish with a State Championship. They also have another goal and thats beat Hazard. Paintsville has fell short two years in row after running the table only to fall in the state semi finals. With what Paintsville has on the schedule can they yet again finish with a 10-0 regular season?
oldrambler Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I think that the next three games on their schedule will imo be the Tigers strongest test of their regular season schedule. All three ....Hurricane, WV., Pikeville and Williamsburg are good teams and Paintsville has all three at home. I am going to say yes, with those three all in their friendly confines that they will head to the post season unbeaten.

But I believe their last three games will be the hardest with Hazard, Raceland and Fleming. I am impressed after watching some film on Hurricane (WV). I think this game will tell us more about Paintsville. Pikeville and Williamsburg are good tests as well but I believe the out of state may be the better of the three at the moment.
Voice of Reason Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I don't know anything about Hurricane so I will assume a win there. Assuming that win, the only school that between them and 10-0 in my opinion is Hazard. If they lose to anyone else it is definitely an upset.
OneAndOnly Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Would not be a stretch considering their schedule.
JC Alumni 76 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Paintsville is fortunate that most of there tougher matchups are at home this season. With that said, I think Paintsville has the ability to run the table in the regular season, but I suspect they will fall to Hazard this season. Outside of Hazard, I would expect them to be favored in every other game. This schedule obviously will only help them prepare for the playoffs.
Bac2369 Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 I'm glad to see some better teams on the schedule to prepare them for a playoffs.2015 they had one tough game and that was Pikeville which they won by 1. 2016 had 2 with Raceland and Bourbon County. This year has at least 3.
