Can Russell get a win at Ironton or will they start 0-2?

 

Thoughts/Predictions

Picked Ironton. Should be a very even and close game. Going Ironton at home. Russell has to develop a more balanced attack that win.

Ironton has went to the spread offense this year, I think this game will be a toss up with Ironton winning by a td or less since it's at Ironton. I sure hope Russell can prove me wrong. I don't like picking against my Devils.

Anytime that a KY. team goes across the pond to play ....lets just say its tough :sssh:. Ironton is not the Ironton of the past. Legendary Coach Lutz is retired and his long time asst. coach Lewis is at Raceland. I'm not saying that Ironton is a bad team at all. I just think that Coach Maynard will have his team ready and go into Ironton and get the W.

Russell in a very close one .....by less than a TD. Something like 14-10 / 17 - 14

Even with Ironton struggling a bit in recent years, you could always count on them having great size in the trenches. That doesn't appear to be the case this year. This is one of the smaller Ironton teams I've seen in a while.

 

I expect this to be a battle just like the previous two games. Russell's got a lot to work on, especially in the passing game. To say that they're not in sync right now would be an understatement.

There has been No official word on moving the Russell/Ironton game to Thursday yet. Will post if I hear anything. All I've heard was that Russell/Ironton are in talks about moving the game.

They aren't playing when the THE Ohio State University plays.
