I had no official word about Nick, but it was the collar bone and it was possible

he either broke it or dislocated his shoulder. I believe it was on a kickoff tackle

that he went down hard and then kind of got dog piled. It sounded like he

went to KDMC during the game. But again, I had no official word. As

for Tyler I didn't hear anything, but yes he did limp off the field late in the

third quarter.

 

Talked to Nick's parents on the way home from ER. Broken Collarbone. ER doctor told them from what he saw on the xray it was not a clean break but a fracture. They'll know more when he goes to an orthopedist, but the ER dr. thinks 4-6 weeks if he's lucky.

 

The hit though was not on a kickoff, but on his next run from scrimmage after the touchdown. The WC player hit him and brought him down with Nick landing on his shoulder.

Nick is nice kid , I saw the play from across the field on the West side , knew he was hurt with seperation or something , when he got up was just hanging his shoulder. Heck of a football player for the Devils. He will be missed especially at corner. D backfield misses both Nick and Sizemore but who wouldn't. 5 is playing better each week and 38 looks young but a player.

 

West is improving .... they consistently moved the ball stopped themselves with penalties and mistakes all night. Defense they had no answer for Kasey who is clearly at a higher level than the rest of the kids on the field.

 

Ps ... the little guy who ran back KO's for West was tough ... I was impressed with the runs that didn't go the distance as much as the one that did ....

Last Ps .. west had several kids on defense who would hit you , they couldn't catch Clark but other devils were in a football game and that's a good thing ..

Good to here that nick might be back for the playoffs.

Good W for the Devils. Keep marchin on. Saw some line ups during the game. Good thing. JV players pretty much in the whole second half. Hope this don't bite down the road. Good to see #23 Evans get the 42 yd FG. Player has a stong leg and is starting to show it in the games. Next Friday night Lewis Co.
