Kimchi

Featured Replies

I purchased a jar of Mild Kimchi at the Ft. Thomas farmers market this week. I plan to put some on grilled brats this weekend. ( instead of sauerkraut) Anyone know of other uses for this?

Traditionally, it's a side dish but you can put it on rice or make a soup or stew.

I get Kimchi from the same stand. The Vennemans are good people. I include it with turkey on rye and mustard.

Straight from the jar! I usually buy kimchi from Jungle Jim's. I'll have to give the farmers market version a try. How big a jar, and for what price?

Every once in a while I'll buy some and mix in a little with my stir-fry. I generally like it to have a little bit of kick rather than the mild, but there's nothing wrong with mild.

I can definitely do it straight from the jar like WYD, too!

It was a 16oz. jar. I believe it was 9.00

Just eat it out of the jar as a spicy side dish. It is "comfort food" for Koreans so if you have any Korean guests to your house you will make points with them for offering it. Kimchi was served after a funeral I attended and the Korean family members ate it like hotcakes (so to speak).
