Is there a big rivalry game that you're interested to see the outcome of? Or a match-up between two teams from different classes? Maybe a game with a team from out of state? Or are there two teams who will just be battling it out for their district title that you'd like to see?

My short list would be:

08/19/17 6A Frederick Douglass @ 2A Danville

I think there are a lot of folks around the state - and particularly in the Bluegrass region - who are curious to see how Frederick Douglass stacks up in their first season of existence. Danville is absolutely no slouch of a team...the Ads are currently 1st in the BGP pre-season rankings. It should make for a great litmus test in the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic with the premiere of Douglass football.

09/08/17 6A Scott County vs. Moeller (OH)

Scott County was a SOLID team last year, only losing by 1 point in the 6A semis to runner-up Lafayette. Moeller, a traditional Cincinnati powerhouse, had a very uncharacteristic losing season and failed to make the Ohio Division 1 playoffs with a 4-6 record on the season. This could be a great opportunity to see a Kentucky team beat up on an Ohio team. Gotta love that.

09/15/17 6A Lafayette @ Moeller (OH)

Basically the same situation as Scott County vs. Moeller...hoping to watch an Ohio team take some hard licks from a Kentucky team.

09/15/17 6A Scott County @ LaSalle (OH)

2016 Kentucky 6A runners up versus the 2016 Ohio Division 2 state champs. Should be a GREAT game.

09/22/17 Lexington Catholic vs. DeSales

Two solid parochial programs year to year. Neither ended up exactly having the seasons they had last year. How do they each do against a program from a different classification and a different region?

10/27/17 6A Frederick Douglass vs. 6A Conner

We'll get to see how the new 6A Douglass team matches up against one of their 6A competitors from up in NKY.

Boyle Co. Vs Wayne Co. should be a dandy

I was thinking Boyle County vs Danville. Both are in the Top 10 of their Class and Danville beat the Rebels last year. Should be added rivalry fire this season.

Boyle vs Lex Cath. Can Chuck Smith finally beat Catholic for the first time since his return to Boyle. Reminds me of 20 years ago when Boyle had lost to Danville for a decade straight then finally beat them in the playoffs. After they beat Danville it was just a couple more years before the 5 straight titles and 6 straight appearances began. I feel like once Boyle gets over the LC hump then a another string of titles could be on the horizon.
