Shark Week on the Discovery Channel

Featured Replies

Been a very interesting week so far jam packed with marine biologists, fisherman, surfers and others experiences with, none other than sharks. Have learned a lot about different types of sharks and their behavior.

Any shows stick out to you so far? A favorite or dislike? "Summer of the Shark" has been my favorite so far.

How about you?

I watched Phelps vs Shark and decided I'm not wasting anymore time this week

I've made it about halfway through the Shark vs. Croc and got tired but I plan on finishing it. That's been pretty interesting to me.

I usually record them all and at least start them. A few I watch all the way through.

Yeah, that was sort of pointless.

I didn't expect him to really be racing a Great White. That would be insane and impossible but that certainly didn't start off the week.

When they ran out of Air Jaws material, it sure went downhill.

Did you really expect that he was going to be in the water next to an untrainable animal like a Great White trying to out swim it? :lol2:

The yearly "Gimmick" show isn't a good way to judge Shark Week. The rest of the new shows this year have all been pretty good.

Air Jaws is the best thing they've ever done. Tagging and chasing those monster Great Whites off of the Californian and Mexican Coast is pretty cool too.

The most hyped show was the most disappointing....it happens.

I think you would really appreciate a couple of the shows since. The biology and methodology behind why attacks occur and what is attacking and for what reasons are very interesting.

I was really hopeful :lol2:

Currently watching the Return of the Monster Mako. Watching a Mako leap 10' out of the ocean with a jack fish in it's mouth is pretty outstanding!
