Yes it is. I am happy for Coach Shope. Besides being a great coach, he was super nice to my youngest son on my first day at Mercer. Trosper was having a very rough time and Jeremy really helped him in this transition. I will always appreciate that about him. Good luck to Whitley County baseball & Coach Shope!

Good hire for Whitley County. The 50th District just got even more competitive.

Absolutely knock out hire.....everybody knows his coaching skills, but he's as first rate of a guy as you can find.

 

Something I also think should be noted in this day and age, but he wants kids 'playing them all'. In a day of specialization where some pull the selfish (just play my sport) card; he is everything but that.
