I think so mainly because fatigue sets in and once fatigue sets in bad habits show up.

I think It is very useful for smaller schools that cant replicate the level of competition in practice because their JV is made up of younger developing players. It is also very useful to see how kids with little to no experience,(starters missing for a variety of reasons) react to speed of play and better competition. It is an absolute grind at times, but the positives outweigh the negatives.

Great post

As some of you will remember, My son tore his ACL at the NKU team camp before his senior year. I can not say for certain that the combination of AAU and summer ball caused this but I have to think it contributed.
