I would take the $20K. However, the justification for taking the gamble is that statistically there is a 20% chance of getting it right and 20% X $200K is an expected value of $40K, twice the $20K.

 

I'm just not much of a gambler.

Someone should maybe make a game show where you could be offered 20k and be done or continue on at a chance for 200k.

 

Maybe put the amounts in numbered suitcases. And maybe have some hot models open them one by one. :banana:

 

To that thought, how many of you on here would have walked away from Deal or No Deal when you got to $20K knowing there was a chance to win much more...say a 1 in 5 chance?

 

In a vacuum it's easy to take the money and run, but looking at it from the stand point of Deal or No Deal I don't see anyone walking away and stopping with $20K if they have a big number left out there floating around.
