PurplePride92 Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 There's been much discussion on what some viewed as a photo opportunity when Trump hosted many presidents from HBCUs in the Oval Office not long after he took office. He claimed he would sign an executive order doubling or tripling funding to HBCUs so of course the presidents of the HBCUs ran up to D.C. to collect their money. When they got there all they really got was a chance to shake Trump's hand and take a picture for his twitter account. There have been articles out where presidents of the HBCUs have given varying accounts to what went down but at the end of the day the door was opened for dialogue to get the HBCUs more funding than what Obama gave them. And then this happened: Trump suggests financing for historically black colleges may be unconstitutional - POLITICO
PurplePride92 Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 I hope they at least got their group picture signed by President Trump before they were ushered out of the Oval Office.
