March 19, 20179 yr Author I thought UL played very well in that first half. They need to keep pounding the ball inside and keep playing that great defense. They need to mix in some of the matchup zone in the second half. Michigan started figuring some things out on the switches versus Louisville's man defense. Louisville up by 8 at halftime. UL led throughout the half. Michigan fought and chipped away to tie the game with a couple minutes to go in the half. Then UL closed the half on an 8 point run featuring two 3's by Mitchell.
March 19, 20179 yr 8 - 0 run at end of first half to give Cards 'the mo' going into second half. Couple of dunks part of this run. Adel's dunk brings back images of the Doctors of 1980 fame.
March 19, 20179 yr Author That Adele dunk was spectacular. Mitchell threw him the ball 10 feet out in a fast break and I thought what is he going to do with it there with the big and athletic Fisher in front of him. Adele just rose up in Jordan fashion, glided through the air and jackhammered the dunk right over top of Fisher. If you didn't see it, go to youtube to try and find it. Spectacular.
March 19, 20179 yr Couple bad calls but pretty entertaining game. Agree. A couple bad calls both ways imo. Michigan really got hosed on two calls that clearly looked all ball.
March 19, 20179 yr Author Couple bad calls but pretty entertaining game. Ref's are struggling in this one. Bad calls going both ways.Ref's haven't figured out whether to call it tight or let them play and keep waffling on which way to call it. They need to figure it out at halftime and get consistent.
March 19, 20179 yr Author That's the third or fourth inside shot missed by UL that they should have made in the game.
March 19, 20179 yr Author Adele's defense has been lacking. Pitino doesn't like what he is seeing and calls an early second half TO.
March 19, 20179 yr That's the third or forth inside shot missed by UL that they should have made. I was just about to say the same thing.
March 19, 20179 yr Author Let's see if UL goes to the zone. Nope. Brings in Mathiang and stays man. I think Pitino is afraid Michigan will get its shooting game going if he plays zone and he likes his matchups. UL up 9 at the 16 minute timeout.
March 19, 20179 yr Author Go at Wagner. Draw fouls and get him out of the game. Absolutely. Go at Wagner and Wilson. Edited March 19, 20179 yr by Voice of Reason
