It's really amazing what Buckhorn has done in the last 30 years. They had never played in the regional tournament until they did it in 1988. And they won the region the first year they were in it. Also won the region in 1989. And of course, won it last year.

The Wildcats have a tight knit community who are incredibly supportive of their teams. They're a small school but they get it done, and also have one of the best coaches in the state in John Noble.

It's to the point with Buckhorn that when I saw the score it caught my eye but wasn't terribly surprising. That shows how far they've come.
