I think that this is the year to do it. In my opinion, Florida State's roster is deeper this year than Bama and more talented which doesn't happen often. Throw in a lot of new coaches at Bama and it is a good time for it. The biggest challenge comes down to Nick Saban. I wouldn't bet against him very often, and I am still not sold on Charles Kelly as DC at FSU. All things considered I'm gonna take FSU by 3-6 points

I'm a Bama fan, but that is a reasonable assessment. It wouldn't surprise me if that happened at all....but someone on this board talking about a 3 td FSU win, that's a bit of a stretch.

IDK Slink. I think FSU can win. I don't think its a blowout either way. I keep hearing " well bama has beaten USC, Wisconsin, Michigan etc the last years in blow outs!" Well, those 3 schools arent even close to FSU talent esp this year. So, we will see, I think its a great game. Bama doesn't scare like maybe they would have in the past. Talking to certain people I know (Slink you know who that is) the offense is completely different (obviously) but all the terminology has changed as well. So, a learning curve is there and if Jalen Hurts is tossing the ball all over the place, I think its a good sign FSU is getting things done.

 

It depends on the OL. If the OL can keep DF12 up right where he can step into balls and get the ball to the WRs (FSU WRS are skilled but un proven for the most part), it will help. Replacing Davin is a tall stretch but with the returning guys and throw in Cam Akers I feel okay about it. Defensively, I think FSU has a slight edge esp. in the secondary.

 

Being an FSU guy, I am saying they win but thats why we play the game.

Jimbo and Saban obviously know each other very well and hopefully Jimbo doesnt try to out think himself or the situation.

The offense is different. It's more suited to Sabans liking. Nobody will be tossing the ball everywhere this year. Our rb depth is crazy so we will attempt to run it more. DJ is a monster but we do return 3 starters in the secondary. Biggest question mark again for this team is the health of our lb shaun dion hamilton. If he has recovered from his knee injury, then we'll be fine.
