Fleming leads 28-0 at halftime, and coasts to the win in Vanceburg.

No surprise here i believe this was Lewis County's 1ST points all year there a really BAD team.Congrats to the Panthers though.

They had been shutout of 3 of their 4 games this year. Actually heard after the game on Vanceburg radio station that there quarterback had quit this week.

I was glad to hear the younger Panthers get alot of time on the field.

When does Fleming play Russell this year?

Last game if Fleming shows up ? Trying to spark someone at Fleming to tell us why they wanted out of our district ?

 

Certainly can't be your coach , according to him , you beat yourselves every year against the Devils ... Fleming has beat the Devils before , why so much frustration ?

My guess would be that we would have a home playoff game every year, I can't really speak for the coaches. I, along with alot of other fans would rather stay where we are. The better the competition, the more it forces you to raise your level of play. I just don't see the competition in the other district as tough as where we are now. That's not a knock against Breathitt, but the other schools are having some down times.

 

As to if we show up for the game, our offense plays into the Devils strength of secondary. I would like for us to line up and try to run against the Red Devils, because Russell will have the best team speed we see every year.

 

If Fleming is healthy going into Friday night, I like the Panthers' chances of running the table till the last of October, barring injuries to some key seniors.

Some of us at Mason County wish FC would have stayed, also. Chances are very good that Fleming would have made the playoffs, maybe on the road, maybe not. I'd hate to see the end of those Panthers-Royals games.

 

In my opinion, changing districts and taking on so much more travel sends the message that the Panthers can't compete with Russell and Mason County, whether justified or not.

 

Anyway, congrats on the win against Lewis County; it's always an added bonus for the 2nd and 3rd stringers to get some PT.

Fleming has had some good teams. Their facilities and following tell me they can play with anyone.
