I hope he does but don't think anything he tries will work. Think about it...they are saying he is not their president...that he is not legitimately elected. How do you work with people who boycott you and call you not legitimate? Also, he has a R congress so what does he really need John Lewis and the other Dems who say he is not legitimate for anyway?

 

Yeah, that "elections have consequences" strategy worked well for Obama. Might be a good idea for Trump to not take that same path. He could find himself in Obama's 2010 shoes in two years.

I will say it again anyone who does not think Schumer and Trump won't find common ground on some issues do not pay attention to politics and winning over 8 votes in the Senate is all that matters. It won't be on all issuess and I expect the first Supreme Court Justice to get denied. But there will be things pushed through from Schumer and Trump relationship.

The Trump/Schumer relationship the next 4-8 years will probably be the most interesting political relationship in the country. I actually think they like each other in many ways and have a long history together both being from NY. Now neither can really admit they get along much at this point but I am hopeful they can do some positive things together.

Totally agree Jim. That is why is said I hope he does try to work with the Dems. I do think Trump will talk to people from both sides of the aisle. I don't think Obama really liked talking to anyone in Congress, even the Dems. It is just not his nature. Trump is just the opposite. He will talk to anyone...we will see...
