I just got back to Louisville from the game and no doubt Hopkinsville was the better team tonight for the most part because early in the 2nd half Cager took over and had an incredible stretch where he was the best player on the court from either team. Great run that just about doubled the halftime lead of 8 in a matter of minutes. Credit Hoptown for overcoming a slow start to tie the score by the end of the 1st quarter and taking control before halftime.

Coach Schooler from Fern Creek tried to shake things up and played kids that normally do not see much action in the first half. He was trying to light some fire under his starters but it never seemed to do so. He had to do the same thing in the 3rd quarter and left his starters out until the early part of the 4th quarter hoping he would see some change but it never did. He even got a technical trying to rally his team but this game belonged to Cager and his Hoptown teammates. They hit 60% from the field and from the 3 point line as a team.
