Stats from last nights game

Mayfield Graves

1st downs 12 11

Rushing Att 31 43

Rushing yards 165 217

Passing 12-24-131 yds (3 INT) 7-10-94 yds (2 TD's)

Total Yards 296 311

Fumbles/Lost 3/3 1/1

Penalties 8/53 yards 5/30 yards

So once again the stats are deceiving as it looks on paper as it should have been a closer game...and would have been if Mayfield did not shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers deep in Graves territory. But give Graves credit they capitalized on them and won the game. Just glad that Mayfield does not have to drive back up to Hancock County this week as there is no easy way of getting there from Mayfield...although we may have to make that drive in the playoffs...hopefully!!!

If the Cards have been working on the no huddle offense for weeks, it sure didn't show...It looked like a chinese fire drill with noone knowing where they were suppose to be or what to do..You would think if this were the case, then the execution would have been alot smoother..Sorry, that's just how I see it...They did do a better job moving the ball in 2nd half, but, alot of those yards were when the outcome was no longer in doubt...

Yeah, I agree, I hope that is the last we see of that no huddle offense, that isn't Mayfield football and our boys looked really confused out there with it. We aren't going to get very far if we keep playing games like that, I WANT MY OLD MAYFIELD TEAM BACK!!
