I've seen a lot of Boyle County basketball games over the past 8 years and this is easily one of the worst games I have ever seen a Boyle County team play. Uninspired defense, confusion on offense, inability to hang on to the ball, lack of heart and determination once they got put in a tough spot.

U-G-L-Y.

Luckily this was the second game of the season. I hope this was rock bottom. Need to put this one in the rear view mirror and move on.

Keep grinding. Keep building.

I don't have the stats in front of me but I know it was 44-18 at the half and that Woodford County was 17/29 from the floor in the first half. They were hitting shots inside and outside and played with a lot of confidence.

Boyle County was 13/13 from the free throw line for the game. So there's that positive.

Ummmmm...having seen Woodford play, all I can say is wow, wouldn't have expected a score like that.

We didn't either.

This is what I kinda expected in the home opener against Bryan Station. I mean, even though Boyle got beat, they looked pretty good.

Nothing was good Friday vs Woodford (except FT's). This was a real head scratcher.

I'm hopeful this was a fluke and Boyle is more competitive next Tuesday at East Jessamine.
