November 25, 20169 yr Happened at a park. Never heard of the Juice Bowl. 2 dead, 4 injured in shooting at Louisville park during youth football game | Fox News
November 25, 20169 yr 'Cuz youth FB is definitely something to get that mad over. SMH From the CJ article it sounds like it was one guy bumping into the motorcycle of another guy.
November 26, 20169 yr Yeah this didn't happen near the Juice Bowl football games, it was over in a nearby part of the park where there were a bunch of motorcycles and cars and drag races. The football area was nearby, the 2 youth games were over, and a Louisville semi-pro women's team was playing a flag football game vs a team from Memphis I think. The Mayor was there at the football area. That game was suspended just after the shooting then cancelled and next was supposed to be a tackle semi pro men's game between two Louisville teams, it was also cancelled. This event has gone on for decades with the youth and men's semipro football, with the ladies semi pro being an addition the last few years. This is the first violence I have ever heard of there. I had went there a few times, since I worked with semipro for almost 20 years. And at least a dozen of my friends thru semipro were there, saw their posts on facebook. The policeman that stops the distraught lady from running into the crime scene and comforts her ( video on CNN) is a former semipro buddy of mine that we called Robo, and is one the best guys you will ever meet. Hopefully the events this year don't derail a longstanding West End tradition. The few times I attended there were thousands just having a good time, lots of people bbqing, or just hanging out, lots of Louisville families have a late dinner and take in football in the morning and afternoon
