November 21, 20169 yr Yeah, but I don't believe the polls are included in the overall computer formula are they? I thought they just had a computer formula that they use then the committee uses their judgement and the polls as a reference to come up with the end result? I may be wrong about that and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if I am. But I would just soon the committee stay out of it and let a computer run it's own metrics with a weighted formula from the coaches and AP polls. That way you have the human element, but not necessarily one that could be influenced as easily as say a committee member could. I don't trust writers or coaches to get it right any more than I do anyone else. Writers have shown bias over the years and the coaches polls are submitted by a JR SID. I like the idea of getting all of the info together and then having real people look at it to make sure nothing completely wrong happens.

When it comes to the human element I like to have a larger sample size than the committee can give though.
