John Hardin 52 Shelby County 31

There were adjustments made and their attitude of an absolute sense of urgency was at an all time high (how could it not be). The first play of the 2nd half that went for an 80 yard score out was out of a formation that they hadn't shown yet in the game. The throwback pass off Waggle that accounted for all, but nine of their total passing yards was not used until the 2nd half.

Run game wise; John started going right at Shelby in the 2nd half more so than trying to stretch the field w/ their perimeter and misdirection run game. The 2nd half was "elbows and buttholes" (doesn't sound as good not using the most appropriate word).

Bottom line is, though that the kids for John executed. Great TEAM win.

They tried brining pressure early , look at first quarter, but Shelby was able to beat it. Played same D and pressure but JH just started executing. Shelby was playing same D as second quarter but John O Line stepped up game. All adjustments were in attitude. Plain and simple, hell of a halftime pep talk.

From a couple of the coaches mouth almost verbatim...we had to adjust to our Qb assignments and gap responsibilities. Attitudes did adjust but it was due to being put in better position to be successful. One thing was said at halftime though is they thought the fumble calls were a reason the score was lopsided at the half...they knew they were better than what the score indicated

The kid was on his knees when ball was lost the first fumble and the other one the kid didn't loose it until he was driven back about 7 yards and the official was winding the clock with the spot. No as obvious as you think.
