Final

Etown has some great guys up front. And plenty of speed to boot.

Completely controlled the LOS all night. With all their players back healthy i look for them to win next week.

Wanted to see the Tornado win being our local neighbors but in reality this is what was expected. Things got masked when the OC resigned and they dumbed down the offense and started winning. But they started winning against a lot lower competition and to me created a false sense of how good the team was. I know there was a lot of buzz with the new coach but I cant say that he brought any improvement. Pretty disappointed in the results

I wouldn't disagree with much here TP, but would add that there was likely "friction" with the OC and would that impact the kids? Yes it would. Rome wasn't built in a day and I think it takes time to put your true stamp on a program. Hope Tilghman focuses on getting better and a more cohesive unit over the offseason and comes back next year in a better more structured place. :thumb:

Certainly a disappointing end to the season, but in all likelihood it was time.

But Toothpick and others, don't close the book on Barber yet, as I truly believe he will right the ship. Barber is a very inspirational leader that lives and breathes football and believes in improving these young men both on and off the field.

Coming in late this year he inherited a team with only 4 players with any varsity experience and a team that did not have a weightlifting program from December until June.

And with a line that averaged a whopping 194 pounds our time was set to expire. Being small is one thing, but being small and weak is another. Coach Barber has made it clear that getting bigger and stronger is his priority in the off-season.

Considering our shortfalls this season, I think he did a pretty good job with what he had.

And by the way props to Etown as they are a better team than they have been given credit for.

I believe you will see them pick up the W at Caldwell this coming week.
