BrewU Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I understand that Highlands varsity has went away from their jet-motion based offense from the previous few years and are back to running the split back look, ala days of Frisk and company. Has the freshmen also went back to this offense? I imagine they have, but just havent had the oppertunity to see the young Birds in action. If so, where are their studs lining up at back there? Is there a lot of gun or is the QB under center?

Oldbird Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Just how many yards did Frisk have running in the split back offense as a freshman for Highlands? Where did this come from?
colonel-fan Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Where did this come from? Hadn't had my coffee yet. Misread first post, didn't see varsity part. Thought it read the freshmen were running the split back look, ala days of Frisk and company.
stickymitts Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Just how many yards did Frisk have running in the split back offense as a freshman for Highlands? He had as many yards as you did as a Frosh at HHS.

BrewU Posted September 5, 2006 Author Posted September 5, 2006 notoppyno, sounds like your putting together a scouting report against the "baby birds". Come to the game Thursday and have yourself a look. Ha, sounds like it. The reason I asked was when I watched the big game at Paul Brown before (last few years) I didn't care for the jet motion attack. Im a fan of the spread look. They killed people with it. The question was more about seeing if the freshmen coaches stick to the varsity offense year to year as it changes. So many jv and freshmen teams drift away from varsity plays and formations. Now I know that with the level of difficulty and lack of some guys at key spots, its not always possible to match the play calls. However, this shouldn"t be the case over there. So overall, it was a question about the simularities between the varsity, jv and freshmen running the same stuff to get ready for the next level.
