October 31, 20169 yr Final results from their "secret" scrimmage in Nashville over the weekend. Bluiett and Macura lead Xavier with 26 each. Taylor County's own Quentin Goodin played a great deal, but didn't score. Other results are a little sketchy, but suffice it to say both teams turned it over a lot, were a little sloppy, but got some good work in and got out of their unscathed. If you have never seen a closed scrimmage, it is an odd deal. Empty building, you can hear EVERYTHING, guys going hard, coaches typically aggravated due to early season rust.

October 31, 20169 yr Author So who you gotta know to get into one of these "closed" scrimmages? Won't happen, to be quite honest.
October 31, 20169 yr Author Why would both teams travel to do a closed scrimmage? Happens all of the time. Look up Jeff Goodman on Twitter, he had a complete list, tons of traveling involved. Helps Freshmen get acclimated to travel. Broadens the list of programs you can utilize for these events. For programs of this ilk, an extra $25,000 or so isn't that big of a deal in travel expense.
October 31, 20169 yr Won't happen, to be quite honest. Figured that would be the answer, but you don't know if you don't ask.
