A tiebreaker was necessary this week, as NKYB & oldrambler both finished with perfect scores . The total amount of points scored in the 5-point Super Game was 47 (33-14 Alabama over Texas A&M). NKYB's guess guess of 44 points was slightly closer than oldrambler's guess of 38 points. As always the contest is not final for 24 hrs. All contestants have 24 hours to report any errors. Congratulations to NKY Bandit on both! :thumb: And kudos also to oldramber, who had a perfect score as well & would've been a 2-time winner had he won the tiebreaker. * Very nearly joining NKYB & oldrambler at the top was....hold on to your hats....Can'tcoach, who finished with a 17. CC's only miss was the UK/Mississippi State game, and this was his highest weekly finish since Week 9 of 2015 when he also got a 17. I know it's strange seeing CC's name so high on the list, but I suspect this is an anomaly. * Returning to action after his week off, SingleDigit92 registered his highest score of the year with 15 points. That means SD92 has now registered double digits in 25% of the contests this year (2 out of 8 weeks...12 in Week 2 & 15 this week). As with Can'tcoach, I suspect seeing SD92 back near the bottom in Week 9. His bitter rival MJATW scored 13, making this just the second week all year that he's been outscored by SD (Week 5 was the other). But MJ still maintains a comfortable 21-point advantage in the Overall Season Standings. In fact, the vast majority of the human population still maintains a lead over SD92 in the Overall Season Standings. * A handful of contestants registered 16 points in Week 8, but two of them--coldweatherfan & SLINK--were able to eclipse the century mark in the Overall Season Standings. CWF leads SLINK by 6 in that category. * There's no way someone can be this bad unless they're doing it on purpose, plantmanky. * GrantNKY was the only contestant, other than El Plantman, who chose A&M over Alabama in the 5-point game. Hey sometimes you have to pick against the odds to win. If I get that game right I win this week. :idunno:

I thought the line was 19 and thought it was funny the game turned out to be a push. Maybe it was 18.5. I don't know. But considering Plantman only scored 5 this week, the next highest score would have been 13. I'd say my choice to pick A&M, while it was my heart over my head, was a calculated risk.
