Big victory for the Colonels and Coach Boston - secured the2nd seed in the district and a home playoff game - rough week, only about half of team showed for practice Tuesday with fall break and all - amazing how some kids and parents just do not have the interest it takes to be successful - in addition several key players out with injuries, another key player missed I think because his brother getting married tomorrow night. Hard road for Hendo in the future with low interest and playoffs against the Louisville district every year. Coach Boston deserves lot of credit for this victory. Best of luck in the playoffs and in the future.

Henderson had 4 starters out to start the game and lost another before halftime and played their best half of football to come back form a 33-14 halftime deficit. Cols get 2nd in district and will gladly take it the way this season has gone.

Tough tough loss for Daviess County. Looked like they were finally going to get over the hump and break the Henderson curse, as they were up big at the half. Bouchard threw for nearly 300 yards and 5 TD's, 3 to Marquel Tinsley. If you don't know that kids name, you will soon. As just a sophomore, he is an absolute monster on the outside for DC. An early turnover and failed chances on 4th and short doomed DC in the 2nd half. That and they had no answer for QB Patterson for Hendo. While DC keyed on Simpson, Patterson made them pay. Credit the Colonels with some nice adjustments in the 2nd half. It was a fun game to watch!

For Hendo, very happy for Coach Boston! Big confidence win! And it will take a while to instill that committment factor.

 

For Daviess, where do you go from here? From a talent level, will you have more than you have had these past 2 seasons? I would think not. Very tough loss.
