JDEaston Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 This should be a dandy. Christian County had held solid in the top 3 throughout the season, some even argued that they should be ranked #2 rather than Covington Catholic. Then came the double overtime loss to Owesnboro, which caused a drop in the rankings for the Colonels. Graves County on the other hand is sitting just outside the top ten and looking for a season defining and confidence building win as they get into the meat of their schedule. I'm issuing an upset alert for this one! Who wins and why?
Purple88 Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 Upset alert is very valid here! But I don't have a good read on Graves County. Will be interesting...
JDEaston Posted October 10, 2016 Author Posted October 10, 2016 Upset alert is very valid here! But I don't have a good read on Graves County. Will be interesting... The two teams are a little different in their style of play. Graves can pass the ball, but prefer the run it seems. Christian County is more focused on the air game, but are capable of running the ball when they need to. That said, Owesnboro won the game on the ground and if I remember correctly, some fans mentioned the weather taking Christian County's air game away in that one. Expect a sloppy, wet playing surface this week as well.
devils58 Posted October 12, 2016 Posted October 12, 2016 I think this will be a good game. The end result will be Graves' ability to limit the big play from CC. Graves also has to sustain offensive drives and eat clock. I do think this will be a good game for a bit but CC has too many playmakers. CC 42 Graves 21
SomewhereOffTheMap Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 I think if it rains this one could be a really good game. Feel like Colonels have too much speed for Graves this year. 34-14 CCHS Eagle_Pride!! - I respect everyone's opinion and love hearing explanations. What thoughts/insight do you have that says the Eagles will pull it out by 2 TDs?
Eagle_Pride!! Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 IMO, graves knows the district crown will go through Christian and owensboro..this is a do or die game for them.. Graves can run the ball very well at times, our passing game is improving..out weakness is in fact our pass defense..now, the reason I feel Graves will win this one by two scores is because: 1) will be a soggy night with bad field conditions limiting the air attack of christian. 2) Graves line play is better than christian, and on a wet field, the game is won in the trenches. 3)graves can always run the ball in a do or die situation, when u back graves in a corner, they always respond..just ask bowling green... IMO
