Should some of the JV kids be getting more reps with the varsity for X? There was one receiver for them (83 I believe in the JV game) that was big and had great hands.

When the bigger teams carry 50+ seniors and 50+ juniors, some of those juniors will be very good, but not good enough to get varsity time. They get their reps at JV. Which makes the imbalance at JV very large. Some good players don't get to see the field until their senior year.

I follow Trinity, I understand how large rosters work, but if better players stay down just because they are juniors that's silly.

I would at least bring my best JV kids up to be starters on special teams. I'm not sure on the depth chart, but the old adage is if you have two players of similar ability you play the younger one, X's typically goes the other way. Nothing wrong with it, as long as your top younger players are getting reps somewhere.
