May 15, 20179 yr Depending on what happens midweek, it could be a pretty uneventful final day. Chelsea are champions. Spurs are second. Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Sunderland are relegated. Impressive escape by Swansea City who took seven points in the last three games to confirm their spot in the league next season. The midweek games for City and Arsenal will let us know if we'll have a fight for champions league places on the final day.
May 15, 20179 yr It appears Newcastle is coming back up, along with Brighton & Hove Albion, who are making their first appearance in the Premier League. Brighton hasn't been top-flight in over thirty years. Reading, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town, and Fulham are playing it out for the last promotion spot. Reading and Fulham have been up fairly recently. Its been a while for Wednesday and I'm not sure if Huddersfield has ever been to the top.
May 15, 20179 yr Huddersfield were last in the top flight in the 1970s. Have been moving between the second and third divisions in the last 45 years.
