cardinalsvoice Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 This is an interesting game that could tell alot about both teams. Graves County is 2-0 but has played two teams in Heath and Calloway that are both very young and are in rebuilding years, and had to struggle to hold off a very young Calloway County team; while on the other hand Tilghman has played their tradionally strong non-district schedule with opening up in an overtime loss to Ft. Campbell, who is 2-0, and losing to a very good and very talented Warren Central team last week 35-21. IMO I believe that Tilghman will pick up their first win of the season as I can not see the Big Blue start off 0-3 on the year. Graves has a couple of nice players in the Sanderson kid at QB and McManus at fullback...but I have seen Graves play both games this season with them being on Saturday night and I just think that Graves does not have the speed necessary to stop David Jones and the Tilghman offense...plus I believe that Graves will have a hard time moving the football against Tilghman as Coach Thomas will force the Eagles to beat them through the air I just don't see Graves County having the offensive firepower outside of McManus to be able to do that. Then again that is just my opinion...and I could be wrong:sssh: Tilghman 35 Graves 14
Thor Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 the Tilghman defense will be more than ready for Graves friday, against Central they were literally shouting the plays before the Central linemen got down in their stance. Their offense is centered around their runningback and their quarterback both exceptional athletes. Not to down-play Graves they are a quality team but they just don't come away with a win in this one. P.T.-24 G.C.-10
GoBigRed Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Yeah, I feel Graves will not be able to match up with the speed either. Tilghman has proven they can hang with some good teams and I think they will pull out a win in this one. Also, Graves allowed so much yardage in the calloway game, I am really starting to doubt what the coach was saying at the first of the season, "This could be the best team ever". P.T. 28 G.C. 14
Toothpick Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 That Calloway showing leaves me wondering about a Graves team that i was expecting big things from, not sure who wins this one, I am guessing it will be a close one either way
Chicks dig Scars Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Tilghmans young team is growing up fast as they played with Warren Central for 3 qtrs. Tilghman 28-12.
