Kentucky Bourbon Festival 2016

Featured Replies

This year marks the 25th anniversary of this event, one of the largest festivals in the state. By Friday and Saturday, Bardstown will be hopping with as many as 50,000-60,000 extra people visiting to take part in the festivities.

Who's coming to town? If you'll be visiting, I'd love to meet up even for just a few minutes to say hi.

For sure I will be attending the All-Star Sampler and Boots'n'Bourbon events Wednesday and Thursday night, and will be hanging around the Spalding Hall lawn and other downtown locations Friday and Saturday.

We were planning to hit the bourbon trail. Do you think crowds will be huge due to the festival? Didn't realize it was this weekend.

Yes, most definitely. Even distilleries not in Bardstown have official KBF events this week, and the extra traffic coming to Ky for KBF will make all distillery tours very busy.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up. We may have to reschedule. Or maybe just join in on the fun.

Bardstown is a fairly easy day trip from NoKy. Make sure you have a DD though, as there's no hotel space in town this week.

What, we can't stay with you?

Not sure I'll have time to clean the house to make it presentable for guests. Got room in the backyard for tents, though!

I have a pretty high fence around the backyard. Neighbors never see me water the lawn. :D

With 4 women in the house and only one bathroom, I kill plenty of weeds off the back deck.

Open air restrooms are one of the few truly liberating things that I know of.

Lots of tree shade as well.

I assume there will be live music at the festival? We didn't realize the festival was this weekend & planned to spend Saturday on the Bourbon Trail. I'm lobbying to pick a new date, but I suspect we will venture down anyway. I just hope it's not too crowded everywhere.

Don't worry; not many people in KY like bourbon anyway!

Never attended the festival, but have heard lots of good things about it.
