September 2, 201610 yr Too lazy. Can someone explain "curtilage" to me, please. Basically the area around your house where you would have a reasonable expectation of privacy, e.g. your back deck/yard. It's treated the same as the inside of your house when applying the Fourth Amendment.
September 2, 201610 yr If you don't have a legal right to be there, then it's most likely to be suppressed...
September 2, 201610 yr Just call it "landscaping," for Chrissakes. Good grief. If you introduce a word that a journalist doesn't know, that's an issue.

September 2, 201610 yr Whoa So you're telling me people use terms such as "curtilage" on a regular basis? No, nobody does. It's an unnecessary term that is already covered by "landscaping."
