Can anyone challenge Mayfield for the top spot? What will CAL prove against Central this week? Who wins the battle of Owensboro? How will Butler fair against Russellville? Who is just outside the Top 10? Who can move up with a win this week?

Mayfield is an easy pick at #1 right now. Teams 2 through 6 all face tough challenges this week, and I would look for at least three of them to take a loss Friday. Those who win Friday establish themselves as legitimate contenders, particularly OC if they find a way to beat Owensboro.

How good is Holy Cross?

Holy cross is the team to watch in 2a

Pretty solid top 10 in my opinion. There are a couple of other teams that have a chance to jump up if any of these stumble.

 

Mayfield is the cream of the crop but 2A has some pretty good depth this season.

Holy Cross has athletes, but haven't been tested yet. Their schedule is pretty soft. When they play Beechwood, which they should beat this year, we will find out how good they are

I think the top 4 is spot on. 5-8 could go either way imo
