8 man football

Do they allow new schools to come into this program? If so, Bracken Co. may seriously want to consider this until they can establish a quality team. Im not saying that the schoolss that play 8 man aren't quality, but they probably would struggle with an 11 man school.

I think they did away with it, not sure but Eminence used to be the "Trinity" of 8man in the state.

As a state championship sport, the KHSAA did do away with 8-man football. Some schools play two or three 8-man games per season, while Beth Haven out of Louisville plays an entire 8-man schedule. Almost all of Beth Haven's games are against Tennessee schools.

 

This might be a good move for Bracken County, although I think the new district will help them. Beechwood, Newport Catholic and Bellevue annually for an infant program is extremely tough.

As much as your post angered me... you are probably right. It's my perception that 8 man schools probably have smaller players but I could be wrong.

Evangel Christian will play a couple 8-man games this year. They only have 14 players so the 11 man game takes a beating on them by the 4th Quarter.
