DragonFire Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Knox Central fell 8-7 to Madison Central in their first game, a defensive struggle that saw the Panthers not even reach 200 yards of total offense. But, glass half full, last year, they lost 49-0 in Game 1 and then went on to make a statement in a win over Louisville Central in the second week. This year, they'll get Waggener, a 41-6 winner over Iroquois in Week 1. Can Knox Central get in the win column?
Adopted Purple Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 This one is a toss up for me. I heard Waggener has several D-1 players on their roster. They had a big win last week and Knox Central lost. 21-14 Waggener
Hasbeen Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 I voted for Knox Central but in all honesty, I think that despite having a very good team, there is a real possibility that the Panthers could be begin the season 0-3 or even 1-4. It's a tough schedule built to gain experience for a deep playoff run from a team that some are saying may be the best KC team ever. Time will tell.
Realreason Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 I watched the Knox Central game against Madison Central. The beginning of the game monsoon could have attributed to the low yardage totals. The running back looked fast and powerful, but other then that nothing really stood out. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by Waggener this year, yeah they are getting some chatter, but the top talent on this team is that, not just D1 level, but if they stay healthily, high major D1 talent. I think Waggener comes to show out and win pretty convincingly. just my opinion :walk:
Legacy12 Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 Is Waggener that good this year or is there just a poor representation of KC fans on here? Hoping to make it out and see this one this week.
