To register/renew your middle school football program membership for the 2016 Football Season, please complete the on-line form listed below and review the attached material to make sure your team will comply with the 2016 Rules adopted by the membership during the Annual Meeting. All forms for the 2016 Football Season will be posted on-line at the Association's website at KYMSFA before the start of the season.

I didn't realize there was a state tournament for middle school football. I like it! Any idea where the sites are for the semi-finals and finals?

 

 

Also...there are a LOT of Northern Kentucky programs who aren't on that list. Assuming this tournament has been around for a while, do they generally not compete in this?

This is year 9 for the KYMSFA, but it is more than just a State MSFB tournament. East West All Stars, Team Kentucky that plays in the FBU National Tournament in December. There will be more teams, everybody waits till the last minute to register and get their paperwork in. Semifinals and Finals are in Lexington each year, Bryan Station has been a very big supporter of the KYMSFA and has hosted for the last few years, and again this year.

 

NKY MS Conference teams do not participate because they do not qualify due to the rules they play by and the lack of games they play.

There are about 10 or so teams every year that do this year in and year out.

Question. How are they starting the State Championship playoffs, while the regular season is still under way.

Each conference sets their own schedules for Regular season games. Are dates for the playoffs have been the same weeks since the playoffs expanded in 2010.

 

Basketball State Tournament is the same way.
