ATLCat Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Last year was a banner year for Eastern Kentucky. All told, EKY sent 4 teams to Bowling Green! Johnson Central and Pulaski County each fought valiantly toward State Runner-Up finishes in 4A and 5A respectively. Pikeville and Belfry, meanwhile, lifted the hardware in 1A and 3A. When we started the journey last season this was the inaugural EKY Power Ranking: 1. Pulaski County 2. Belfry 3. Johnson Central 4. Southwestern 5. Ashland 6. Raceland 7. Corbin 8. Russell 9. Bell County 10. Shelby Valley As we look forward to the 2016 season tell me which teams you see worthy of retaining a Top 10 spot to open the year? Which teams will be at the top? Which teams do you expect to see fall off? What teams are poised to make a run unlike last season?

Jumper_Dad Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Pulaski lost a ton...not sure they are #1 this season. Maybe they get there but I wouldn't start out with them at #1.
DevilMayCare Posted July 20, 2016 Posted July 20, 2016 Belfry is a clear #1. Beyond that, Johnson Central, Pulaski County, Southwestern, Pikeville, and Corbin belong in the 2-6 spots in one order or another. Then you've got a group including Paintsville, Raceland, Ashland, Russell, Hazard, Fleming County, Leslie County and maybe one or two others jockeying for the last four positions, IMO.
