July 13, 201610 yr I was never exactly in love with the Jefferson Airplane or Starship aside from a few songs here and there (White Rabbit for sure), but I absolutely cannot stand "We Built This City". The lyrics make little sense, not to mention that it's just downright corny. Peter, Paul, and Mary were putting out most of their hits when I was a mere toddler, and it's safe to say that their material translated pretty well to 3 and 4 year olds, but one song of theirs that I just could never stand was "I Dig Rock and Roll Music". Though I came to find out years later that it was actually their attempt at satire, no matter what it just comes across as so incredibly dorky. Thanks to this thread now I can't get this stupid song out of my head.
July 14, 201610 yr I liked Freebird the first 500,000,000 times I heard it. Fixed that for ya. In all seriousness, I don't mind "Freebird" once every few months or so. But only on my terms.
July 14, 201610 yr Love Waylon, hate the song "Amanda" I don't mind "Amanda" so much. He really should've taken a pass when talk of covering "McArthur Park" came up.
