I can't help but think that Bill Clinton made this happen on purpose for this exact reason.

 

I could see the Clinton's setting Lynch up for public backlash for a reason not to bring her back , as a form of punishment for not making this case go away.

Exactly. The more I watch House of Cards the more I can't help but think they are the inspiration behind that show.
