Couldn't imagine leaving NB for this job. Plenty of talent and successful there.

Doesn't matter if Jeff Walz, Kim Mulkey, or Geno himself applied for the job. The good ol' boy system is in play here and the hire will be Mitch Tiller so no need in anyone else even applying because you'll be wasting your time. TNHS is a joke when it comes to athletics. Take a look at how many coaches they have had in all sports in just 4 years of existence.

I think this statement is precisely explains the situation at hand at Thomas Nelson. It's a new school - a very new school. There are schools that have existed far longer than 4 years that have seen little, if any success athletically. They have no "tradition" to build upon. They have no "system" in place. Athletically, the Generals are currently trying to pick themselves up from nothing and find their nitch amongst a myriad of schools and athletic programs who have years upon years of history, tradition, and community support to build from.

As a Cov Cath grad, I can't help but look at my alma mater. Their basketball program went 56-39 in their first four seasons of existence (and their school was already 19 years old). That's a 58.94 winning percentage. TNHS girls hoops has gone 70-44 in their first four years as a basketball programs and as a school. That's a 61.40 winning percentage. My best suggestion to the Thomas Nelson girls basketball players and their fans is to have a little patience and a little faith. Rome wasn't built in a day.

TNHS girls have went 51-63 in their first four years not an astonishing 70-44! I agree with being patient but they run the good coaches off with their lack of support for athletics! Coachin numbers in the first 4 years. Girls bball - 3, Boys bball - 2, girls soccer - 2, , football - 2, baseball - 3, volleyball - 4. Boys soccaer only sport to keep a coach all for years all others have had multiple. There;s something wrong there IMO.

New. School.

Any news on a coach? I noticed that this job has been open for a very long time.

Grapevine, hearsay, they have 2 candidates they are choosing between.....supposed to be done in next week or so.

This is from a TN parent....so grain of salt.....whitehouse staying on to coach them. This source is pretty close to situation so may be pretty good info?
