Phil Simms constantly saying "the Football". We know what sport we are watching, Phil. "The ball" will suffice. Others do it as well, mostly in golf.

............ also in golf, "That was a tremendous golf shot, Jim." What other kind of shot would it be?

George Grande is a great guy but he says two things that come to mind that are cringe worthy and he says them A LOT during Red's telecasts...thank goodness he only does 5-10 games each year now.

 

(1) "Get em on, get em over, get em in..."

(2) On a double play grounder, "six, four, yessiree three"

 

#2 just bugs me so much - like finger nails on a chalk board...
