Tates Creek 17 George Rogers Clark 14

GRC held TC scoreless for the 2nd half. Had a chance to tie the score with a field goal, but decide to go on the 4th down and TC stopped them. Time of possession for TC was also a major factor in the outcome of the game.

GRC will travel to Bryan Station next week.

TC gift wrapped an early 2nd half TD, for GRC. GRC just got worn down in the 2nd half, both teams have a long way to go. I knew TC would be good this year, I was a little underwhelmed by GRC, I think they were a little overhyped. That being said Dougie Mason and Robbelle Rogers are very quick and teams in r4d8, better watch out once Mason gets some experience.

Tates Creek, is vastly improved over last year, they won this game in the trenches, with a big physical OL, which was thier downfall last year.

That being said, I am still am not completely ready to buy into a complete turnaround this year.

This is a big win for TC. They had fallen on tough times while Clark Co has been pretty solid as of late.

This was a disappointing loss for GRC. They were beaten in the trenches. I don't know about this system of playing a different eleven on offense and defense. Just put your best eleven out their and let them play.

It all falls on the coaching. It's their job to get the best out of their players and they can't. I know a lot of parents speak out against coaches without being qualified, but I've coached before, and I played college and pro football. GRC played just how they practice. I'll let another week or two go by before I really start voicing my opinion because this is going to be a long year.

Paul Columbia suspended GRC's starting SS (#15) for next weeks game as an expample to all the players that complained about the coaching and not kicking the field goal. #15 was the only player at halftime that tried to get everyone motivated, and he's a valuable part of the team because he plays both ways. So next week's game against Bryan Station is going to be very interesting. Pray for us.

You have your facts wrong. He has been suspended, but not for the reason you are saying. This board is not the place for in-house discipline....we will leave it at that.

After one loss and some people want to blame the coach.:irked: GRC will be fine...we need to support our team, and let the coaches do their jobs. Do I agree with every call...no, but they know their personnel better than we "bleacher" coaches do.

Practice hard boys, and take care of business, as I know you can.:thumb:

GRC beaten down in the trenches. Both lines are too slow .

Track has probably helped RR quite a bit. I don't know why it isn't made mandatory for FB skill players to participate in track (if they're not playing baseball). Don't know the situation at GRC, but here at Mason County we seem to struggle getting the numbers out for track. I've seen Rogers for two or three years, and there's no doubt that running track has helped his speed.

When GRC loses a game it seems like everyone wants to put all the blame on their coaches. Sometimes you get just get beat by a better team and there is nothing the coaches or players can do about it.
