Get this, Instead of playing two games @ Powell County, they are playing one game @ Powell County then both teams are coming to Estill to play the second game...

What the hell.......WHY?????? That has to be about a 30 minute drive between schools i'm guessing.

something like that. 30-45 minute drive. Really only two roads. You take the road in front of Estill High down so far then take 82 to Stanton and stay on 82 and it takes you right to PCHS. Same way if your coming from Powell to Estill

It's about a 25 minute drive in a car. Bus would be a little more time but not much.

Speaking of this game, @The Professor have you ever heard of a such thing like this ever happening?

Again, why did they do this?

I've never heard of it happening.

Again, why did they do this?

My guess is they did it because they've had to cancel a past game due to weather and since these district games count toward seeding for the 56th district tournament neither team wanted to lose their home game advantage.

how did Estill do in the beast of the east?

They probably did it for gate and concessions right? You can flip home team without being in the home park. The only reason to insist on playing at your park would be to collect gate.

Estill lost to Scott County (12-2) and South Laurel (10-3).
