Newport Central Catholic/Brossart (Wed. April 20th) predictions

Featured Replies

Tomorrow it's the Battle of the Campbell County "fish-eaters", as NewCath (9-6) travels to A-Town to take on Brossart (8-5). The Stangs look to avenge last years 9-0 loss in which NewCath hurler, Haley Meyers, threw a 1-hitter.

BTW, both teams are in the same poll in the All A State Tourney next weekend in Owensboro.

I have definitely got to go with the Stangs on this one. The Breds lost a Ton of weapons from last years team. My DD was running a high temperature with the flu last year and was covered up in the dugout between innings. :puke: It should be a good game though.

Fixed it for ya!

Just curious LB,maybe you can answer this for me. Speaking of the Classic... How are schools classified for softball? Do they follow the same standards as football? If so, wouldn't NCC be a 2a softball school?

I believe it is the smallest 125 schools in the state. Some don't participate. Sorry didn't mean to answer out of turn.

No problem. I was just wondering. Thanks for the info

No predictions in this one...with a more meaningful game next weekend. Could be a lot of runs scored...
