David Backes scored with 9:04 left in overtime to give the Blues game one, 1-0.

 

I watched the second period of this one. The Blues played keep away most of the period, but could not get a shot on goal to save their life. Chicago got off 35 shots on goal, but only St. Louis goalie Brian Elliot blocked them all.

St. Louis leads the series 2-1.

The Blues score two goals in the first 5 minutes of the 3rd period and the Blackhawks cannot come back. St. Louis wins 4-3, in game 4, to take a 3-1 lead in the series.

 

Chicago faces elimination in St. Louis, tomorrow night at 9:30.

The Blackhawks hang on with a double overtime win in St. Louis, 4-3.

 

The Blues lead the series, now, 3 games to 2.

 

Game 6 is back in Chicago, Saturday night at 8.

Tried to embed a video of the moment Chicago nearly saved the series in the dying minutes of Game 7 last night. Just brutal. Hit both posts and settled right in the crease before a Blues player cleared it off the line.
