For the Herald-Leader (boys) all state teams, my notes say

96 coaches voted in 2014...

85 coaches in 2015...

and just 52 this year.

(Only 43 girls coaches voted this year for the gals all state team.)

Can someone give us the names of the coaches that did vote? Is it public record to be released?

Crazy , that coach`s don't vote. Knowing it matters to the kids, and if a team gets a few players it makes the program look good. YOU know the coaches talk to each other , if not any thing else they would vote to help a friends team.. A list of the coaches that did vote , would be nice too see. The BGP teams and polls are always better, and close to being on point , way closer than any thing the coaches do..

Even an HM to most kids is a big deal.

Actually, I'm not sure it's the coaches who should be voting to start with.. Very few coaches see many kids play outside of kids on teams they play against, and that's a very small sample size. Some coaches will see other kids in events like the Lex Cath holiday tournament, but even that is limited. So, there might be some coaches out there that have the opinion if they can't see a lot of the kids play who would be in contention for all state, maybe they just shouldn't vote at all. Just a guess.

You are asking the wrong kid!

The newspapers only recently started mentioning how many coaches voted. Only they would know who voted...and it's possible they don't keep that information. I can imagine (but don't know) that they just tabulate the votes.
